Our Story
Toskov & Sons Dumpsters didn’t start as a dumpster company. It started as a family making a bet on themselves.
Back in 1999, we were working with AllWaste, one of the roll-off dumpster operations in the region at a time when the industry looked very different than it does today. The business was good, the work was steady, and we had built relationships and a customer base that most companies would have been happy to coast on. But we had two young boys at home, a vision for something we could truly call our own, and a belief that if we built it right, we could hand it down to our sons one day.
So we branched off. We started Toskov & Sons from the ground up, not just as a business, but as something the whole family could grow into together. The decision wasn’t just about building a company. It was about building a life that let us be present for our boys while they were young, and building something worth passing on when the time came.
Built From the Ground Up
Before we ever focused on dumpster rentals, we were doing the hard work ourselves, hauling concrete, clearing demolition debris, and running excavation jobs across Maryland. That hands-on background is still what sets us apart today. We know what actually fits in a 20-yard versus a 30-yard. We know what loads are too heavy for a standard hauler. And we know why a homeowner’s “small cleanout” sometimes isn’t small at all.
That experience is baked into how we size every job, how we price every rental, and how we show up for every customer.
A True Family Business
Our family has built this business together, rooted in hard work, strong values, and a
commitment to doing right by the people we serve. Over the years, we’ve supported one
another through the challenges, celebrated the wins and stayed true to what matters most: our customers and our community. Today, our family continues to work side by side in every part of the business, blending experience with fresh ideas to serve you better and build for the
future.
It’s more than a business to us, it’s our legacy, and we’re proud to carry it forward together.
Who We Are Outside of Work
We’re Ferndale, Maryland natives through and through. When we’re not working you’ll find us at the beach, out on the water boating, tearing up the track on motocross, or just making memories outdoors with family and friends. We’re proud supporters of our Baltimore Orioles and Baltimore Ravens, and family time, whether it’s a backyard cookout or a weekend adventure, is always the priority.
We built this business so we could have more of that. And we think it shows in how we treat the people we work for.
What We Believe
Over 35 years we’ve built deep experience across waste We believe strong relationships matter as much as good service. We believe in honesty over upselling, showing up on time over making excuses, and treating every customer’s property like it’s our own. We got comfortable for a while, we had a loyal customer base and steady work, and we let the growth side take a back seat. Now we’re revamping, modernizing, and building toward the next generation of this company.
That next generation is ready. And so are we.
